The Head Coach leads and manages all aspects of the girls varsity lacrosse program, including player development, team strategy, and program culture. This is usually a seasonal or stipend-based role, sometimes combined with teaching or staff duties.

- Plan, organize, and direct all varsity lacrosse activities.
- Build a competitive and positive team culture.
- Serve as a role model for student-athletes on and off the field.
- Design and run practices focused on skill development, conditioning, and game strategy.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Support athlete growth, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Develop game strategies and lineups.
- Coach during games and make real-time decisions.
- Analyze opponents and adjust tactics.
- Supervise assistant coaches (if applicable).
- Coordinate with athletic department staff and trainers.
- Communicate regularly with players and parents.
- Schedule practices, games, and travel with the Athletic Department.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and Florida High School Athletic Association rules.
- Promote the program within the school community.
- Help identify and develop future players (JV/middle school pipeline).
- Represent the school at events and competitions.
Qualifications
- 3 years coaching experience is required at the professional, collegiate, club or varsity high school level.
