We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Product for Grid Planning to lead one of our most strategically important domains.
This role carries a dual mandate: to build on Siemens' decades-long legacy as a global leader in grid planning software, and to define what the next generation of planning solutions must become. The grid is fundamentally changing — driven by renewable integration, bidirectional power flows, and the rise of distributed energy resources — and utilities need planning tools that match this new reality.
You will set the product vision, own the roadmap, and work across engineering, UX, sales, and customer teams to deliver solutions that help utilities operate with greater confidence, efficiency, and resilience. This is a senior role with real strategic influence and visible impact.
This is a remote role based in the Central or Eastern U.S. Time Zones
You'll make an impact as you:
- Define the product vision. Own the multi-year grid planning roadmap, grounded in deep customer understanding and aligned with Siemens' platform strategy.
- Stay close to customers. Engage regularly with RTOs, ISO, utilities, and other industry stakeholders to surface genuine user needs and validate product direction before committing to build.
- Drive the next generation of planning. Evolve our portfolio toward cloud-native, AI-augmented, and platform-integrated architectures — without sacrificing the analytical depth utilities rely on.
- Shape the ecosystem. Define integration standards and API strategies that position Siemens Grid Software as the preferred platform hub for utility digital transformation.
- Lead cross-functionally. Align engineering, UX, sales, and services around a clear and shared product direction. Drive prioritization with rigor and transparency.
- Represent Siemens externally. Contribute to industry discourse at key events and customer forums as a credible voice in grid planning and utility technology.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
- Solid knowledge, credibility, and vision on how Power Utilities plan and operate their networks.
- Experience building or scaling SaaS products, ability to create products that strongly leverage AI to build value.
- 10+ years in product leadership and critical-thinking roles with a proven record of designing & scaling technology products.
- Bachelor's degree required, with a focus in business administration, finance, business informatics preferred.
- Ability to travel minimum 50% (domestic and international)
- Strong communication skills in business-proficient English and interculturally competent and proven track record of managing global multicultural teams.
- Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

The pay range for this position is $145,156 - $248,839 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
