The Human Resources Generalist administers policies relating to all aspects of Human Resources activity.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance to the Human Resources Department
- Ensures compliance with laws and regulations
- Provides information, solves problems, or otherwise responds to requests from managers and employees.
- Reconciles monthly benefit bills
- Administers and tracks leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, personal leaves)
- Oversees and administers the end-to-end ADA accommodation process to include conducting the interactive process with employees and managers
- Manages /processes workers' compensation claims including maintaining OSHA log
- Manages/processes short term and long term disability claims
- Assists with workplace investigations
- May assist with exit procedures for separating employees
- Manages all unemployment claims
- Participates in department staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as necessary and to represent the department.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline from four-year college or university required
Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in Human Resources
Prior experience with FMLA, ADA and workers' compensation is preferred
Experience in a company with 1000+ employees strongly preferred
Experience with Workday is a plus

Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to; bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and occasional lifting.
