General Description
This position supports the Environmental Compliance Section staff by performing technical and administrative functions related to Fats, Oil, and Grease (FOG)and Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP).
This position will support activities and projects for the pretreatment program , and will be reporting to the Environmental Supervisor.
Essential Functions
1. Collaborate on the implementation of the *Cooking Oil Recycling Effort* (CORE) pilot program.
2. Assist with the private lift station inventory.
3. Assist with the analysis and potential expansion of the surcharge program.
4. Maintain the tracking tool for grease interceptor cleaning manifests submitted by system owners/haulers
5. Crosstrain on support activities involving FOG and IPP personnel.
6. All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain that required qualification would be:
1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED administrator and currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Sanitary, Environmental, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, or related field preferred.
2. Ability to demonstrate intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3. Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered.
4. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and bend, kneel, squat, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Environmental factors include indoor, flat surface, noise, sitting with occasionally walking and standing.
