Job Summary
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all hotel linens, towels, bedding, and laundry items are cleaned, organized, and distributed in a timely and professional manner. This position plays a key role in maintaining Marriott brand cleanliness standards and supporting overall guest satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Inspect linens for stains, tears, and damage and report items needing replacement.
- Maintain proper chemical usage and follow all safety procedures.
- Keep laundry room clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
- Deliver clean linens to housekeeping storage areas as needed.
- Assist housekeeping team when necessary.
- Maintain productivity standards while ensuring quality results.
- Follow Marriott brand standards and hotel policies.
- Respond professionally to management requests and team needs.
- Ensure all lost and found items are handled according to hotel procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to work in a warm environment around laundry equipment.
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
