At Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach, we're looking for a dependable, hands-on, and motivated Assistant Laundry Manager to help lead our laundry and transportation operations. This important leadership role helps ensure our linens are fresh, our equipment is operating efficiently, and our team has everything they need to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Do

As our Assistant Laundry Manager, you'll work closely with the Laundry Manager to support daily operations, guide team members, maintain equipment, and coordinate transportation needs. Your responsibilities will include:

Laundry Operations & Team Leadership

• Assist with daily laundry production, workflow, employee assignments, staffing coverage, and quality control to ensure efficient operations.
• Lead by example while training, coaching, and supporting team members to maintain high standards of productivity, safety, and service.
• Help coordinate staffing needs, monitor attendance, and promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
• Monitor production levels, labor needs, supplies, and operational challenges, communicating concerns and recommendations to the Laundry Manager.
• Jump in and assist with daily laundry operations whenever needed to keep things running smoothly.

Equipment Maintenance & Facility Support

• Help manage and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for laundry equipment, boilers, dryers, presses, air compressors, chemical systems, facility equipment, and company vehicles.
• Perform or coordinate routine equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication, minor maintenance, and necessary repairs.
• Work with outside service providers and maintenance teams to coordinate equipment servicing and repairs when needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, work orders, service histories, parts usage, and equipment downtime reports.
• Proactively identify equipment concerns, recurring issues, and needed supplies or replacement parts to minimize interruptions to daily operations.

Transportation & Delivery Operations

• Safely operate company vehicles, including a box truck, to assist with linen deliveries, pickups, supply transfers, and other operational needs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, promptly reporting maintenance concerns, damage, or safety issues.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload linens, laundry carts, supplies, equipment, and other materials.
• Assist with coordinating transportation schedules, vehicle assignments, mileage tracking, fueling, and required documentation.
• Ensure company vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe, and operational condition.

Safety, Organization & Operational Excellence

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry facility while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Promote safe equipment operation, proper chemical handling, and responsible vehicle use.
• Assist with identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and maintain consistent quality standards.
• Support the Laundry Manager with additional operational responsibilities and special projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for a dependable, organized, and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and understands the importance of teamwork.

Our ideal candidate will bring:

• Previous experience in laundry operations, hospitality, industrial laundry, or a similar production environment preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and an understanding of equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance practices.
• Experience coordinating equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, or service providers is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to daily challenges.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to meet company driving requirements for operating company vehicles.
• The ability to safely operate a box truck and assist with deliveries and transportation responsibilities.
• A commitment to workplace safety, quality, efficiency, and exceptional teamwork.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to step in wherever needed.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including weekends and holidays as required.
• The physical ability to work in an active laundry environment, including standing, walking, bending, and safely handling laundry carts, linens, and supplies.
