Lead Housekeeper Position Summary

The Lead Housekeeper serves as the primary quality-control and support lead for Independent Living housekeeping team, while also assisting the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager with department needs. The position is responsible for making sure housekeeping standards are consistently maintained, employees understand their assignments, deficiencies are corrected, and residents receive dependable, high-quality service.

Lead Housekeeper Job Qualifications and Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Training and supervisory experience preferred

Must be able to read and understand printed instructions for the use of chemicals and cleaning agents

Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to staff, residents, families, and community members

Must be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
