JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that all work requests pertaining to kitchens, function rooms,

food outlets and public areas are maintained with a reasonable amount of repair.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on HVAC equipment.

  • Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment in the building including guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms and parking garage.

  • Monitoring and operation of BMS (Building Management System).

  • Work on other equipment as needed.

  • Maintain correct stock/inventory of HVAC supplies and filers and communicate when replenishment is needed.

  • Respond to all requests.

  • Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.

  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.

  • Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures

  • Keep all work areas clean.

  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.

  • Ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

  • Performs other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EPA universal licenses are required.

  • Previous HVAC maintenance experience required; hotel experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing, and gas systems.

  • Experience in reading and interpreting schematics.

  • Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel and ability to learn other related engineering programs. Must be organized and mechanically inclined with strong desire to learn building mechanics.

  • Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.

  • Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.

  • Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions.

  • May be asked to be part of "ride-out" crew during severe weather events.

  • Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.

  • Requires repetitive motion, including the use of handheld and powered tools.

  • Hardware and tools, ladder, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine and push to talk radio
