Description:

Southern Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to oversee plumbing operations on multi-family construction projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively coordinate field operations, manage subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

What You'll Do:
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontracted plumbing crews
  • Oversee underground rough-in installations and verify all measurements for accuracy
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed on time and within budget
  • Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and project documentation using web-based software
  • Track, receive, and manage materials through web-based inventory systems
  • Forecast material needs 2-3 weeks in advance to maintain production schedules
  • Conduct and participate in daily and weekly jobsite coordination meetings
  • Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks while promoting a safe work environment
  • Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, company standards, and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve field issues
  • Utilize computer-based project management and reporting software daily

What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plumbing Superintendent
  • Experience supervising plumbing subcontractors on multi-family construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, building codes, and construction practices
  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software
  • Experience with Raken or comparable field reporting software
  • Knowledge of total station layout, underground plumbing, sleeve layout, and top-out operations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer proficiency is required

Required Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • OSHA 30 Certification (Required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
