Job Title: React Native Tech Lead

Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid) - Must be onsite from Day 1 if relocating

Type: 6-month contract-to-hire

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced React Native Tech Lead with strong native iOS and Android development expertise. This role involves Brownfield integrations, bridging cross-platform and native implementations, and driving technical vision for mobile and web development. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in coding while also mentoring and guiding development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical vision for cross-platform mobile and web development using React and React Native.
  • Architect scalable, performant solutions that integrate seamlessly with native iOS and Android systems.
  • Create technical design specifications and translate high-level architecture into working software.
  • Mentor and guide React Native, iOS, and Android developers through code reviews, pairing, and technical coaching.
  • Implement modern state management patterns (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Jotai).
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across cross-platform, native bridge, iOS, and Android layers.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on mobile development experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead/technical leadership role.
  • Expert proficiency in React Native, React, Expo/EAS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern workflows.
  • Strong native iOS skills: Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Objective-C; familiarity with modern iOS architectures (MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture).
  • Strong native Android skills: Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries.
  • Experience architecting with Brownfield host-shell / mobile micro-frontend patterns, RN New Architecture (TurboModules, Fabric), Native Modules, and typed host bridge contracts.
  • Ability to lead teams, communicate complex technical issues clearly, and deliver high-quality solutions.
