Job Summary

Performs repair and overhaul duties in association with our 145-repair station. Must adhere to the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), and all 14 CFR Aviation Regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot to the component level
  • Ensure the quality of work of non-certified technicians
  • Inspection of incoming parts and review the supporting documentation (FAA 8130-3 and C of C)
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot to the board level
  • Diagnose, test, repair, and prepare products for return to service to include certifying conformity of products
  • Complete test results, teardown reports, traceability, and return to service documentation (8130-3 *if applicable* and C of C)
  • Undergo recurrent training on an annual basis
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Required skills/abilities

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English a must
  • Ability to read technical schematics, work instructions, use typical electronics bench test equipment, i.e. o-scope, multi-meter, soldering iron, power supplies, etc.
  • Proficient with a PC and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Work, Outlook)
  • Read and understand drawings, manuals (CMM's), work instructions, and schematics
  • Computer and website navigation skills required

Knowledge, Education, and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in electronics or avionics installation and repair required
  • Commercial or military flight avionics experience preffered
  • Experience with ELTs (emergency locator transmitters) is highly desired
  • Experience reading CMMs, drawings, and schematics
  • General knowledge of FAA requirements for a FAR 145 repair station
  • Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent in military training

  • Experience dealing with Aviation OEM's preferred, is a plus
