Evermore Orlando Resort is an expansive and technically complex property spanning 1,100 acres with multiple operational components. The resort integrates resort-owned vacation rental homes, large-scale water features, and extensive recreational infrastructure. The eight-acre Evermore Bay lagoon includes advanced water treatment, circulation, and safety systems that require continuous monitoring. Two championship golf courses, numerous pools, water sports facilities, and a wide range of amenities, including pickleball courts, event spaces, and dining venues, further enhance the offerings. This diverse environment demands sophisticated engineering oversight to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability across all systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership & Team Management
- Serve as a daily operational leader and MOD for the recreation team
- Provide direct leadership, guidance, motivation, and support to recreation team members throughout daily operations.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings and operational briefings to ensure alignment, preparedness, and communication across the team.
- Make real-time operational and staffing decisions based on business demands, guest needs, weather conditions, and operational priorities.
- Conduct coaching conversations, performance follow-ups, disciplinary action, and corrective counseling in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct annual performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, and developmental conversations with team members.
- Foster a positive, professional, accountable, and guest-focused team culture.
- Serve as a direct operational resource for team members requiring assistance with guest interactions, program execution, or problem resolution
- Ensure recreation operations maintain compliance with all safety regulations and operational standards.
- Monitor recreation environments and address safety concerns proactively.
- Work collaboratively with all resort departments to ensure seamless execution of guest experiences and operational support.
- Assist with emergency response situations and operational escalations as necessary.
- Activities Programming & Guest Experiences
- Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of Evermore's recreation and activities programming.
- Curate and manage monthly recreation calendars and seasonal programming offerings for resort guests in collaboration with Activities Coordinators.
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale holiday events, themed activations, and specialty resort experiences.
- Research and implement new recreation, entertainment, and hospitality trends to continually elevate the guest experience.
- Ensure all recreation experiences are properly staffed, organized, and fully prepared
- Conduct routine audits of programming and guest experiences to ensure alignment with Forbes luxury standards and internal operational expectations.
- Maintain consistent oversight of guest engagement levels, program participation, and service quality.
- Manage and maintain recreation booking and promotional platforms including SparkGo, iPoolside, and other resort systems.
- Ensure all activity offerings, pricing, scheduling, and reservation details remain accurate and guest-ready across all platforms.
- Respond professionally and promptly to guest emails, phone inquiries, and reservation requests.
- Utilize operational reporting, participation metrics, and guest feedback to evaluate program performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain organization and accuracy of operational SOP's, scheduling communication, and event records.
- Group Recreation & Event Oversight
- Oversee the execution and operational management of group recreation experiences, team builders, and large corporate and leisure group programming.
- Collaborate with Sales, Resort Operations, Concierge, Banquets, Guest Services, Transportation, Security, and other departments to coordinate group bookings and guest experiences.
- Manage communication for upcoming group events including reservations, billing coordination, logistics, and operational preparation.
- Design and execute creative and engaging group recreation experiences tailored to varying guest demographics and event needs.
- Maintain direct communication with vendors, clients, and internal departments to ensure successful event execution.
- Financial Management & Inventory Control
- Assist with departmental financial oversight including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, expense tracking, and controllable cost management.
- Oversee inventory ordering, supply management, and operational purchasing for recreation programming and group events.
- Evaluate inventory usage, operational waste, and vendor opportunities to maximize efficiency and cost control.
- Identify opportunities for revenue generation and enhancement of recreation offerings and group experiences.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience), or a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience in a resort, hospitality, or recreation setting (preferred).
- Prior experience working in a luxury or Forbes-aligned environment strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recreation programming, event operations, group experiences, and hospitality trends.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving abilities in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Strong financial awareness including budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and controllable cost oversight.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and project management capabilities.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong written communication skills with professional email etiquette and the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
- High level of technological proficiency and adaptability with booking systems, scheduling platforms, and operational software.
- Demonstrated commitment to guest service excellence and luxury hospitality standards, and ability to handle guest requests with empathy, precision, and professionalism.
- Must meet current MVR guidelines and possess a valid drivers' license with acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time across multiple recreational areas.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and reach as required to perform operational and supervisory duties.
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings, and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely participate in and demonstrate recreational activities as needed.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency or safety-related situations.
- Must be physically capable of performing all essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
