Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to interior and exterior guest calls for service in a timely manner. Make repairs and/or provide service in order to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
- Greet all guests and fellow Team Members as you see them. Speak politely and assist them as needed, making sure to answer all questions and providing appropriate directions. Respond in a courteous manner to all questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all facilities and property of the resort including but not limited to: Guest accommodations, buildings, machinery, equipment, grounds, roadways, signage, flooring, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, electronics, painting, drywall, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and masonry.
- Operate with the property maintenance software program and properly updates essential information via the use of a smart device.
- Perform preventive maintenance as needed on all items listed above and keep accurate records.
- Complete maintenance and facilities tasks from work orders and/or electronic devices
- Read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard free work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of tools, supplies and equipment.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate the status of projects and/or other duties verbally and in writing
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent education is required.
- Vocational or technical training relating to expertise preferred.
- 2+ years of resort maintenance experience
- Valid Florida Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of performing role in a busy work environment
- Capable of working scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays
- Proficient in the use of electronic devices and their applications such as cell phones and/or tablets
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, walk, crawl, stoop, kneel, bend, and / or reach repeatedly.
- Able to safely lift 75 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials.
- Able to climb and work on ladders and scaffolding.
- Able to be on feet and moving around for entire shift.
- Able to perform all duties listed in this job description.
- Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
