Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing a variety of specialized and complex professional work that facilitates the administrative operations of a function, program, and/or department
  • Utilizes extensive knowledge of the department to make recommendations to senior management and/or executive leadership on program planning and development
  • Interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regarding operating policies and procedures
  • Oversight of daily office management and supervises office staff
  • May serve as designated Budget Manager/Approver
  • Participates in long-range planning/forecasting for the College/Department
  • Coordinates academic and/or staff personnel matters
  • Utilizes discretion and independent judgment in resolving problems that may have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
  • Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
