Work Environment

This is an on-site sales position within a luxury hotel or resort where Five-Star AudioVisual operates as an embedded audiovisual partner. Senior Sales Managers work closely with hotel leadership, sales, catering, and event teams to ensure events are properly planned and sold while delivering exceptional client experiences.

You represent both Five-Star AudioVisual and the hotel with professionalism, technical confidence, and a hospitality-first approach.

Position Summary

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving audiovisual revenue growth at an assigned hotel or resort by developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering consultative event technology solutions.

This role serves as a key partner to meeting planners, hotel stakeholders, and internal operations teams to ensure events are accurately scoped, sold, and executed successfully. The Senior Sales Manager balances proactive selling with exceptional service, contributing to both client satisfaction and overall property performance.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Achieve individual sales goals and contribute to overall property revenue targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship building.
  • Partner with hotel sales and catering teams to maximize audiovisual revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and follow up on opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Support forecasting and reporting efforts related to revenue and event activity.
Client Relationships & Consultation
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding event goals and recommending appropriate audiovisual solutions.
  • Conduct client consultations, site visits, and pre-conference meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, repeat clients, and hotel partners.
  • Confidently present solutions and communicate Five-Star's value proposition.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the event planning process.
Event Sales & Execution Support
  • Manage the event sales process from proposal development through handoff to operations and production teams.
  • Ensure proposals are accurate, detailed, and aligned with client expectations and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and production teams to support successful event execution.
  • Remain engaged throughout the event lifecycle to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Assist in resolving client issues and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Team Collaboration
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with hotel partners and internal team members.
  • Share industry knowledge, best practices, and sales strategies with peers.
  • Support onboarding and mentoring of new sales team members when needed.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
Professional Representation
  • Represent Five-Star AudioVisual with professionalism, confidence, and hospitality-first service.
  • Maintain a polished image consistent with Five-Star and hotel standards.
  • Uphold company values, policies, and service expectations.

  • Proven experience in customer service and relationship management with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to actively listen and align solutions to client needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, hotel partners, and internal teams.

Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience, ideally within audiovisual, event technology, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience working with meetings, conferences, corporate events, or hospitality clients preferred.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Technical Knowledge
  • Audio: Basic understanding of microphones, speakers, sound systems, mixers, and related components.
  • Video: Familiarity with LCD, LED, projectors, screens, and monitors.
  • Lighting: General understanding of décor lighting, stage lighting, and event lighting applications.
  • Computers: Proficient in both PC and Mac environments with strong Microsoft Office skills.
