We are seeking an experienced Senior Vice President of Sales for the Americas to lead and grow our regional sales organization across the United States, Canada, and Central and South America — driving revenue for Siemens Grid Software’s software and services portfolio that powers the digital transformation of electric grid operators worldwide. This is a high-visibility leadership role reporting into senior global sales leadership, with direct responsibility for a team of regional Vice Presidents of Sales and full ownership of revenue generation and growth across the Americas.
This is a role based in the United States, with regular travel across the Americas region to engage regional teams, partners, and customers.
You’ll make an impact as you:
- Connect global strategy to regional execution. Understand and be an active partner in shaping Siemens Grid Software’s global sales strategy, then interpret and translate that strategy into an actionable plan for the Americas — adjusting the approach as needed to fit the realities of the U.S., Canada, and Central and South American markets.
- Lead a multi-country sales leadership team. Directly manage, coach, and develop Vice Presidents of Sales for the U.S./Canada and Central/South America sub-regions, building a high-performing, accountable leadership bench.
- Drive revenue generation and growth. Own orders and revenue targets across the Americas, with disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, and consistent quota attainment across all sub-regions.
- Build executive relationships. Cultivate and personally engage in strategic relationships with C-level and senior executives at TSOs, DSOs, IOUs, and other utility customers to shape and close large, complex, multi-year deals.
- Champion customer success. Partner with product, delivery, and customer success teams to ensure customers realize measurable value from Siemens Grid Software solutions, driving renewals, expansion, and reference-ability.
- Develop go-to-market capability. Build and refine sales processes, territory design, compensation plans, and partner/channel strategies suited to the diverse markets across the Americas.
- Align cross-functionally. Work closely with marketing, product management, delivery, and finance leadership to ensure the Americas sales strategy is fully aligned with global company priorities.
- Represent Siemens externally. Serve as a visible, credible executive voice for Siemens Grid Software at industry events, customer forums, and analyst engagements across the region.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in enterprise software/SaaS, including 5+ years managing sales leaders (VP or Director-level) across multiple countries or regions.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue/orders targets in a complex, solution-selling environment.
- Solid knowledge of the power utilities/grid industry, including familiarity with electric utilities, ISOs/RTOs, transmission and distribution organizations, and grid technologies domains such as EMS, DMS, ADMS, or grid planning.
- Demonstrated experience selling enterprise software and services solutions (not just hardware/products) into utility or critical-infrastructure customers.
- Proven experience engaging directly with C-level executives at electrical utility companies; existing relationships with C-level utility leaders across the Americas are strongly preferred.
- Experience building and leading distributed, multicultural sales teams across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, with a strong understanding of regional market dynamics.
- Ability to travel 50% (domestic and international) to support customers and regional teams across the Americas.
- Strong communication skills in business-proficient English and interculturally competent; Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a bonus, though not required, given the Central/South America scope.
- Adaptable to new tasks, solutions, and customer needs.
- Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States; Siemens is not able to sponsor or transfer employment-based visas for this role, now or in the future.
