Evaluate students or clients for speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
Provide speech and language therapy services individually or in groups
Assist students with articulation, language development, stuttering, and social communication skills
Support students with swallowing or feeding disorders when applicable
Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other specialists to support student success
Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute goals and recommendations
Maintain accurate records, progress notes, evaluations, and documentation
Monitor and assess student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
Use evidence-based strategies and therapeutic techniques
Provide classroom support and consultation to teachers
Educate families about communication disorders and home strategies
Screen students to identify possible speech or language concerns
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district regulations
Utilize assistive technology and communication devices when appropriate
Promote effective communication skills that support academic and social success
