The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Responsibilities include implementing individualized treatment plans, assisting patients with communication and swallowing goals as directed, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with the care team to support quality patient outcomes.
- Treat patients in assisted living and/or home settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Communicate with the supervising SLP and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs and progress.
- Communicate with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Complete accurate, thorough daily documentation in the EMR
- Associates degree in Speech Therapy
- Active Florida SLPA license
- New graduates and experienced therapists are welcome
