The Challenge
The Clozapine Decom REMS team supports mission-critical capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs within the Patient Care product line. As a SQA Tester (Manual), you will help deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the full software lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate mission needs into measurable outcomes, manage technical and delivery risks, and support high-quality releases.

As a SQA Tester (Manual), you will help deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the full software lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate mission needs into measurable outcomes, manage technical and delivery risks, and support high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and traceability for functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate requirements and acceptance criteria across supported applications, interfaces, data, roles, and workflows.
- Record, triage, retest, and close defects with clear evidence, severity, impact, and reproducible steps.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to improve quality throughout the SDLC.
- Report test progress, risks, coverage, and release readiness using objective evidence.
Must Have
- 4+ years of software quality assurance or testing experience.
- Experience creating test cases and executing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with defect tracking, test evidence, requirements traceability, and Agile delivery.
- Experience with healthcare, pharmacy, medication-management, mental health, or other clinical application workflows is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV where applicable.
Nice If You Have
- Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs, federal health IT, or other regulated healthcare programs.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and collaborative Agile delivery tools.
- Experience with VistA patch development and release processes, InterSystems IRIS, MUMPS, or VA Pharmacy applications.
