This is a staff position that reports directly to the Accounting Manager. This position is responsible for maintaining a proactive and efficient approach to all aspects of General Accounting including but not limited to the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Account Reconciliation:
- Prepare Monthly Account Reconciliations
- Fixed Assets/Construction in Progress (CIP)
- Lease Amortization
- Capital Improvement worksheets (Budgets/Actuals)
- Bank Reconciliations
- Other reconciliations as assigned
Accounts Payable:
- Record, audit and pay construction related invoices
- Record Athletics' checks
- Accounts Payable backup
- Manage the purchasing system (WebPortal) run, distribute and follow up on POs
- Provide support to credit card users and record transactions - backup
Fixed Assets/ Construction in Progress (CIP)/Capital Improvements:
- Review, track and transfer Capital Improvements to Fixed Assets/CIP
- Maintain Budget schedule of Capital Improvements and pending expenditures
- Track completion of project to move to Fixed Assets
- Run Depreciation and record journal entry
- Update Inventory records Additions and Dispositions in Fixed Assets
- Track and budget Carry-over projects
- Provide Capital Improvement oversight and forecast to budget managers as directed by the Accounting Manager
General Accounting and other responsibilities:
- Monitor credit card refunds and match to authorization form
- Assist in the preparation the Fixed Asset audit notes and other notes as needed
- Prepare and file intangible Personal Property State Forms
- Update Property Tax Schedule and ensure taxes are paid on-time
- Complete the Closing Activities by the closing date assigned
- Order Business Office supplies and manage off-site storage, including shredding
- Deposit payments (bank and office transactions) must be available on the last working day of the calendar year
- Provide support to the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance
- Provide documentation and support to the Auditors as directed by the Director of Finance

Required Education and/or Experience:
- BA in Accounting
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Excellent Organization and Prioritizing Skills
- Solid Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principle
- Minimum 5-year experience in the field of Accounting
