Teach dance techniques, choreography, rhythm, movement, and performance skills
Introduce students to various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern, cultural, and creative movement
Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum
Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Assess student progress and provide feedback on performance and participation
Organize and direct student performances, recitals, assemblies, and school events
Teach proper warm-up, stretching, conditioning, and injury-prevention techniques
Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline during rehearsals and instruction
Encourage teamwork, confidence, creativity, and self-expression through dance
Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and fine arts staff
Maintain music, costumes, props, and dance equipment
Communicate with parents regarding student progress and performances
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
Ensure compliance with school safety policies and procedures
