US Senior Consultant, Customer Success, Deal Desk, & Pricing and Packaging Lead – Converge for Life Sciences_Products & Platforms
Position Summary
The Team
The Innovation & Delivery Transformation (I&DT) team is building the future of Deloitte's business through new AI-native platforms and products. The team is responsible for identifying, nurturing, scaling, and winning in new markets through new capabilities. Rather than relying on what the firm has historically done, I&DT looks ahead and invests in areas where growth is expected three, five, and ten years into the future.
This role is aligned to the Converge for Life Sciences portfolio, Deloitte's AI-enabled platform portfolio for the modern life sciences enterprise. Converge by Deloitte combines proprietary data assets, advanced analytics, and AI-driven decision intelligence to help pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical product organizations accelerate the pace of discovery, development, and commercialization, while improving compliance and operational visibility across the enterprise.
Rather than being aligned to a single product, this role sits within the Converge for Life Sciences commercial operations function and supports deal structuring, contracting, and client success activities across the portfolio's full suite of software and AI-enabled offerings.
Position Summary
As the Senior Consultant for Customer Success, Deal Desk, and Pricing and Packaging, you will serve as the commercial engine behind the Converge for Life Sciences go-to-market motion. You will own the full lifecycle of software license transactions, including all software license order renewals, partner with commercial strategy to design creative and innovative pricing and packaging models for software, technology, and IP offerings, and help ensure clients realize ongoing value from the platforms they adopt. Working across Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Sales leadership, you will bring commercial structure and discipline to a growing, multi-product portfolio.
Recruiting for this role ends on 10/23/2026.
Work you'll do
Deal Desk, Contracting & License Renewals:
- Own end-to-end management of all software license order renewals, ensuring accurate, on-time execution and continuity of client subscriptions across the portfolio.
- Lead the full commercial contracting lifecycle: drafting offering summaries, securing internal approvals, engaging clients, drafting license agreements, routing risk and legal reviews, and executing signed agreements.
- Build and maintain the commercial artifact(s) of record used to track deal status, payment milestones, and renewal timing across a staggered, multi-client portfolio.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ad hoc contracting questions, coordinating with Legal/Risk on approvals so deals move cleanly from shaping through execution.
Pricing & Packaging Strategy:
- Support the design of creative, innovative commercial models for new and existing software, technology, and IP offerings, including tiering structures, usage- and overage-based mechanics, margin targets, and contract exit terms.
- Partner with Product Management to establish a consistent point in the product development lifecycle at which pricing and packaging work begins, so commercial readiness keeps pace with new product launches.
- Build repeatable pricing frameworks and playbooks that scale as the software and AI-enabled product portfolio grows.
- Evaluate and recommend licensing structures (e.g., subscription, consumption-based, transitional/migration licensing) that balance client adoption with long-term revenue durability.
Cross-Functional Commercial Alignment:
- Act as the connective tissue across Finance, Legal/Risk, Product, and Leadership on commercial and contractual matters, ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged at the right time.
- Partner with Finance on forecasting and cost modeling tied to commercial offerings, and support Legal/Risk in an advisory capacity on structural deal questions.
- Identify and help resolve cross-functional commercial issues that don't have a natural owner, bringing structure and follow-through to ambiguous, multi-stakeholder situations.
Customer Success & Adoption:
- Partner with Account, Product, and Practice teams to support client adoption, stakeholder engagement, and client-facing messaging once a product is live, without duplicating relationship-management work already owned by those teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources, including practice expertise, product teams, and leadership, to resolve client-facing adoption issues and maintain a consistent client experience post-sale.
- Monitor client health signals tied to commercial terms, such as renewal risk or usage against contracted tiers, and proactively flag concerns to the broader account team.
The successful candidate would possess these skills:
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration:
- Comfortable operating as both a leader and a connector across Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal/Risk, and Account teams.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a staggered portfolio of concurrent deals, renewals, and client engagements at different stages simultaneously.
- Clear, confident communicator, able to bring structure to ambiguous, multi-stakeholder situations without a predefined playbook.
- Self-directed ownership mindset; comfortable being accountable for outcomes that span multiple functions with no single predefined owner.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience defined as an additional 4+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- 4–6 years of combined experience in deal desk, commercial contracting, pricing and packaging, sales operations, or customer success roles, ideally within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
- Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end commercial contract lifecycles, including drafting, approvals, execution, and renewal tracking.
- Experience designing or supporting pricing and packaging models for software, technology, or IP-based offerings (e.g., tiered, usage-based, or subscription licensing structures).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using commercial or contract-tracking tools to manage a portfolio of active deals.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across Finance, Legal, Product, and Sales/Account teams to move commercial work forward.
- Ability to travel 20-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience in life sciences technology environments (e.g., CRM, field engagement, patient services, R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, or market access).
- Familiarity with software licensing and contracting norms in a SaaS or enterprise technology business, including subscription, consumption-based, and transitional licensing models.
- Experience supporting or partnering with customer success functions on client adoption and stakeholder engagement for newly launched products.
- Comfort engaging with Legal/Risk teams in an advisory capacity on structural deal questions (e.g., demo licensing, exit/refund terms).
- Proficiency in commercial or product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Salesforce, Aha!).
