MS PE Teacher - Channelside Academy

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Uses classroom procedures that support effective teaching and learning to promote high student achievement.
  2. Develops a climate and culture of openness, fairness, mutual respect, support, and inquiry.
  3. Engages every student in grade level appropriate learning experiences that promote performance.
  4. Designs lessons to promote student engagement through active learning, hands-on application, and teacher-student and student-student conversations regarding the learning.
  5. Uses formal and informal assessment strategies to maximize student achievement and modify instructional strategies as needed.
  6. Collects and utilizes data for continual improvement.
  7. Submits collaborative lesson plans timely
  8. Regularly updates digital gradebook and communicates with parents regarding student progress
  9. Promotes independent and collaborative work ethic.
  10. Participates in professional learning communities and attends professional development opportunities to fully meet each child's needs.
  11. Uses various assessment tools / strategies such as observations, continuums of development, portfolios, and daily assessments to help make instructional decisions for individual students.
  12. Maintains accurate records as required by law and administrative regulation.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor of Arts/Science in Education or field instruction required
  2. Florida Teaching Certification in the Subject Area
