Performs advanced paraprofessional accounting work in the Fiscal Management Section of a Department requiring knowledge of modern principles, practices, and methods of accounting. Primarily responsible for ensuring payments are made on all City of Orlando projects and accurate financial records are maintained to support these payments. Provides lead direction and trains, oversees, and assigns work to employees with less experience. Assists with the preparation of reports, and the review of departmental budgets during the budgeting process. Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative superior. Work is reviewed through conferences, reports submitted, periodic audits, and discussions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree with major coursework in Accounting and four (4) years of responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must pass background check which includes polygraph. Ability to operate personal computers with specific knowledge of Workday and Microsoft Excel highly desired.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
